About Rival Shark

See what others miss. Know what to do next.

Rival Shark helps growing companies see what competitors and markets are doing, understand what matters, and know what to do next, without an analyst team or enterprise budget.

Why we exist

Growing companies should not have to find out last.

The work usually falls to a founder, sales leader, marketer, or operator who is already doing five other things.

The information is usually out there. The hard part is finding it, connecting it, and understanding what it means before the opportunity to act has passed.

Traditional competitive and market intelligence can take hours of manual research or require dedicated analysts and expensive platforms. For growing companies, that often means research gets done inconsistently, reactively, or after something has already changed.

We built Rival Shark to change that. AI does the heavy lifting of researching competitors, industries, customers, and markets. Rival Shark connects the signals and turns them into intelligence leaders can use to make a decision.

Not more information. A clearer decision.

Meet the founders

Built by people who have had to make the decisions.

Rival Shark was founded by Catherine and Brandon Beck after more than five decades of combined experience building businesses, leading teams, growing revenue, serving customers, and making strategic decisions with incomplete information. It is their fourth venture together, built where two perspectives meet: intelligence and Human Experience on one side, growth and execution on the other.

Catherine Beck

Strategy · Human Experience · AI · Technology · Intelligence

Catherine has led at the intersection of business strategy, customer experience, data, and technology throughout her career. As an executive at Allianz Life and Ameriprise Financial, she helped large, complex organizations use customer insight, analytics, and digital capabilities to improve decisions and experiences.

Those experiences shaped Catherine’s focus on Human Experience: the idea that better outcomes come from intentionally connecting people, process, technology, and AI. She has seen firsthand that more data or more technology does not automatically lead to a better decision. The value comes from surfacing the right information, making it understandable, and helping people know what to do with it.

That perspective is foundational to Rival Shark. Catherine leads product vision, strategy, customer experience, and intelligence, with a focus on turning fragmented market signals into clear insight leaders can understand, trust, and act on quickly.

COO and Co-Founder

Brandon Beck

Growth · Revenue · Go-to-Market · Operations

Brandon’s career has centered on growing businesses and turning strategy into execution. Across entrepreneurial ventures and C-suite leadership as a CRO, COO, and CMO, he has led revenue growth, go-to-market strategy, operations, market expansion, and client development. He has built and scaled teams, opened new markets, improved sales performance, and helped companies translate opportunity into measurable business results.

He also brings the perspective of a founder. Together with Catherine, Brandon helped build LoopDesk into a global technology business with thousands of users and partnerships across more than 80 countries before its successful exit. That experience gave him firsthand understanding of the decisions founders face when they are trying to grow without unlimited people, time, or information.

That practical lens shapes Rival Shark. Brandon leads operations, revenue strategy, partnerships, and go-to-market execution, helping ensure the platform does more than surface intelligence. It has to help leaders decide where to grow, how to compete, and what to do next.

How our experience shaped Rival Shark

Intelligence should be sophisticated enough to uncover what matters and practical enough to help you act on it.

Catherine brings the Human Experience, AI, technology, customer, and intelligence lens. Brandon brings the revenue, growth, go-to-market, and operational lens. Rival Shark was built where those perspectives meet.

AI should strengthen human judgment

AI finds and connects signals. People bring context, experience, and judgment to decide what happens next.

Intelligence should lead to action

We do not stop at what changed. Rival Shark connects findings to why they matter and what you may want to do next.

Powerful intelligence should be accessible

Growing companies should not need dedicated analysts, enterprise software, or weeks of research to understand their market.

Trust

Your intelligence is yours.

Rival Shark is an intelligence company. The trust that makes that possible is not a feature. It is the foundation.

Never shared

Your competitor lists, objectives, and reports are confidential.

Never sold

We do not sell or broker your data to advertisers or third parties.

Never used to train

Your business inputs are not used to train or improve AI models.

Why the name

Intelligence beneath the surface.

Sharks are remarkably sensitive to changes in the environment around them. That ability to detect what others miss inspired the name Rival Shark.

Markets work the same way. A hiring surge, pricing shift, change in customer sentiment, new product, expansion, or change in positioning can signal something larger before it becomes obvious.

The shark is not about attacking competitors. It represents awareness: seeing what is changing beneath the surface so your next decision comes with more information and less guesswork.

See it for yourself

Your next decision deserves more than a guess.

Run a Rival Shark report to see what competitors are doing, what is changing in your market, and what deserves your attention now.

Built for growing companies. No analyst team required.
